Pyramid enters the SCO Market and launches new product especially designed for the grocery retail sector.
Freiburg, Germany, June 2 2021 – As more and more people embrace self-checkout systems and an increasing number of store operators recognize the benefits of complementing their store concept with an alternative to their established tills, SCO will be a prevalent topic in grocery retail over the next time.
In response to this trend, Pyramid Computer developed a new product: the Polytouch® Nano Mix ‘n’ Match. Originating in a project realized with EDEKA, we applied all our expertise and knowledge to the creation process, keeping in mind the requirements of operators and customers.
Mix ‘n’ Match for maximum modularity
The result is a solution that embodies maximized modularity for ensuring continuous accessibility both now and in the future. The great scope of peripherals make the Nano a best fit to fulfil individual requirements in the best possible way. Modules vary from an integrated or hand scanner for larger checkout items, various printers, screen sizes or mounting options to build a self-checkout according to specific needs. Retrofittable, the Nano can also be extended after the implementation with additional peripherals.
Fully integrated design concept
The fully integrated design houses all modules in one chassis, protecting them from damage. The structure of our Nano also allows for easy usage and maintenance when needed, reducing the downtime to a minimum. We are happy to have realized this project and are satisfied to poviding a next generation SCO to promote the continuous digitalisation in grocery retail.
